An application for the Falls House replacement for a new three storey mixed-use office building with two retail units on the ground floor and one office tenant on both the 2nd and 3rd floorshas been officially submitted to the city. Comments are to be submitted by April 26, 2017. UPDATE April 21st, 2017: The MVCA and Councilor Moffatt met with the landowner and the architects to discuss possible modifications to the proposed design of an office building on the site of the former Falls House.  The building is intended to have two retail stores on the ground floor and a single office tenant occupying the 2nd and 3rd floors.  

At the meeting, the architect presented some revisions to the design which responded to some of the comments we have been hearing from the community. Those present felt more improvements could be made to help soften the look of the building and make it more of a feature in the village, knowing the importance of this site. As a result, the owner and architect have agreed to look at further revisions. This work has already commenced and we will be updated as soon as possible.
