Shiverfest 2021 has been cancelled due to the provincial stay-at-home order
Shiverfest 2020 was definitely one for the books. We had the best attended bonfire, a superb skating exhibition, fun competition at the Timbits hockey game, and a huge audience for the children’s show all on Friday evening. Saturday started with a great turnout for the pancake breakfast and children’s fun time, the sleigh rides were at capacity (and the hot chocolate was all happily consumed), and we had by far the largest number ever attending and judging at the chili cookoff. Bingo was off the charts busy, with more supplies needed to be brought in during the event. While we didn’t hold our inaugural toboggan race quite as planned, everyone who did turn up in the rain had fun! The evening’s Trivia match was a sold out terrific and lively contest of wits and memory.
The generosity of the local businesses who contributed sponsorships and wonderful prizes for Bingo and Trivia made the whole event not only possible but a fun-filled and very happy success. Our sincerest gratitude to the business community of Manotick.
From the weekend we have been able to contribute $2100 towards the Centennial Park Enhancement Project which will make significant structural, functional and esthetic changes to the whole park over the next few years.
Thanks to our major Shiverfest sponsors
