Manotick's Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, December 3 at 1 pm NEEDS YOU!

This year's annual Santa Claus Parade is set to be bigger and more exciting, with more floats and more participants, than ever before. The parade will assemble at the Manotick Arena and proceed along Dr. Leach, turn right at Beaverwood, turn left at Scharfield, turn right down Maple and turn right onto Manotick Main.  It will then proceed south to Eastman and return to the assembly location via Potter and Dr Leach.

The Manotick Lions Club is organizing this safe and much-anticipated Christmas parade and needs 25 adult volunteers from the community to assist at barricades along the parade route.  N.B.: The requirement for 25 barricade volunteers comes from the City of Ottawa as a condition of the license to hold the parade.

Volunteers will receive training and written instructions and be issued safety vests for a job that will take about 1 hour to set up an assigned barricade, secure the parade route, provide information to spectators and drivers, take down the assigned barricade at the end of the parade and hand back the assigned safety vest.

For more information on becoming a Santa Claus Parade barricade volunteer, please contact us below. The parade cannot go ahead without your help!

Success! Message received.
