All construction traffic related to the Minto Mahogany Development have been directed to reach the site from either Century Road or Rideau Valley Drive from the south. Minto has requested to be notified of any infractions of this directive.

News from Minto on Phase 1 of the Mahogany Development

Ontario Municipal Board ruling

The Manotick Mahogany Liaison Committee of the Manotick Community Association has been carried forward as a subcommittee of the Manotick Village and Community Association.  

The members of the Liason Committee were chosen by board members of both MCA and WMCA to represent the different areas within the village of Manotick, including those that will be immediately affected by the development. Most have community association experience and each has expressed a willingness to meet on a regular basis. 

The terms of reference of the committee are to represent the community's concerns on matters pertaining to the Mahogany Community Development Concept Plan and to provide a communication channel to our community. The early work of the committee will involve discussions on issues that arise out of the Phase 1 Plan of Subdivision and related Zoning.   As a subcommittee of the MVCA we will undertake to keep informal minutes of each meeting and make these available to the larger community through this website.

While members of the committee are all naturally interested in longer-term planning affecting our village, it is the specifics of the Mahogany Community Development Concept Plan and the impact it will have upon the character and quality of life of Manotick that we must turn our attention to in the first instance.
