Each year, the MVCA lays a wreath at the cenotaph on behalf of the community.

Bursaries for Manotick Graduates
Each year the MVCA provides a bursary for one student from South Carleton High School and St Mark Catholic High School. The recipients are Manotick residents, have given a minimum 40 hours community service, will be pursuing post-secondary education and have made an outstanding contribution to the community.

1. St. Mark Catholic High School
25th Annual Graduating Ceremonies, Wednesday , June 29th, 2011
The MVCA Award recipient is Michelle Massart, Ontario Scholar (2011) and Honour Roll Graduating Student (2011) and also, recipient of the French Immersion Certificate and recipient of Lieutenant Governor Community Volunteer Award
2. South Carleton High School
95th Annual Commencement Ceremony, Thursday. June 30th 2011
MVCA Award Recipient is Christian Maisonneuve, also recipient of the Technological Studies Certificate and recipient of the Subject Award of Excellence in Manufacturing Technology.
