 April 16 and 17 - Manotick on the Move
You're Invited..... Mark Your 2012 Calendar..
Michael Haynes, author of four guidebooks, including Hiking Trails of Ottawa, will be a guest speaker in Manotick, on Monday, April 16.
Michael is the Director of TransActive Solutions and an expert on all aspects of 'Active Transportation' ..... getting around using your own fuel, walking or cycling. Michael has given presentations across Canada and internationally, working with small towns and large cities.His book, Hiking Trails in Ottawa, profiles 50 walking routes within a 100 km radius of downtown Ottawa.
Michael will also be facilitating a full day workshop on Tuesday, April 17. Details to follow. This Forum has been made possible through the assistance of the City of Ottawa (Community Environmental Project Grants Program) and the Manotick Culture, Parks and Recreation Association (MCPRA) "Manotick on the Move" is designed to inspire and find ways to foster more walking and cycling, in and around Manotick.

They will be providing information on a regular basis about employment opportunities within Ottawa and outlying areas. They host summer job fairs for youth and adults, numerous employer events where employers hire right on the spot as well as many job postings from employers tapping into the hidden job market looking to fill positions before they advertise to the general public
